Our story
We come from payroll. Before project b., our founding team ran its own payroll bureau and built ITSG-certified payroll software for it. The biggest lesson from that time: the calculation is rarely the problem. The problem is everything that happens before it.
Emails with attachments nobody can find again. Clients who send data in every format imaginable. Last-minute corrections that ripple through the whole payroll run. We know all of this from our own daily work.
In 2023, we started building project b. in Munich: not as another payroll program, but as the layer in front of it. project b. brings clients, HR and the payroll bureau together in one place and delivers clean data to DATEV, SBS Lohn or Agenda.
To this day, we run payroll ourselves, with the software we build. Our goal is to make payroll a little easier for everyone involved.
